This afternoon, one of my students raised his hand and said, “I have three things to say.”
I replied, “Go ahead.”
In a clear voice he shared:
1. Planting tomato seeds from space is awesome!
2. I love all the field trips we are going on.
And
3. You are awesome!!!!
Little did he know, he made my day.
Ahhh. Those are good days. I hope you were able to bask in his admiration for the entire day.

Oh tell me more! 🙂 How did you respond after your student so clearly stated his three points? What a wonderful testimony to your relationship building and teaching talents! Celebrating with you!

I beamed a large smile saying thank you, and was swiftly mobbed by a group hug of half a dozen students. Truly a sweet moment of my day.

What a sweet conversation! I love that he had three well-defined thoughts that he wanted to pass on, too. 😀

I love it when a student lets you know how they feel – well, only when it’s positive!

I love how students start with, “I have ___ things to say” when they are called on. This student’s positivity made me smile.
