Slice – a small portion, a snippet, a whisper of a song, a tasty treat, a morsel
I tell myself I can write a slice, every day for a month, if I keep one of the above visuals in mind, otherwise I become frozen, burdened with existential dread, a void echoing in loneliness, a vacuum of words.
A slice, it can be raggedy, buoyant or dull.
It is a start – a promise of something more.

What great advice! I especially love the word: raggedy. I think that describes most of my slices. But, at least, we are making the effort.
Thanks for the definition.

I am focusing on making the effort. This year every thing seems more challenging . . .

My problem tends to be the size of slice I prefer. This year I’m gonna try to have normal size slices rather than half the pie size slices.

I love the whisper of a song. As scary as the slicing seems it is so worth it.

This Slice drew me in with the word “dithered” when you posted it. I love being reminded of the power of a word that lures us it.

Loved the words you used and how your put slicing in simple terms. This will help me when I get weary or feel wordless. Thanks!
