Getting Back on the SOLSC Saddle

“There are only two emotions that belong on the saddle; one is a sense of humor and the other is a patience”. Unknown

It has been a year since I Sliced.

Cue end of February and Stacey’s call out for registration.

Wondered if I had it in me to describe my days, with out fail, again, for an entirety of a month.

Wondering if I lost my voice, my finesse, my Je ne sais quoi with the written word.

Wondering if I need to change my expectations this year.

Maybe I need to have patience with myself.

Maybe I need to adjust my saddle.

Maybe I just need to hop on, join the ride, and see where it takes me.

Take that proverbial horse

Hitch a ride, and I’ll tell you a few stories . . .

Meet you at the campfire.

  1. You’ve definitely recorded my exact thoughts here! I sliced for 3 years in a row, and due to some personal issues, took last year off. I feel rusty! Here’s hoping for an abundance of writing ideas for the next 30 days!

  2. I like the way that you weave in the questions we all have as we approach another month of slicing into your horse riding metaphor. I am looking forward to some time around the campfire again this year too.
