I was blindsided how happy I was this morning. Have I forgotten what happy is?
What caused this surge of positive emotion, you may ask?
A ‘normal’ activity
I got my body moving
to beats
with people
in community
Granted the activity was designed for seniors
but
I was participating without pain
something my body is intimately acquainted with
Also
I needed to manage my post concussive brain. It appreciated the modified pace.
Juggling the emotional labour of maintaining my physical body is wearying
Today I had an hour of freedom
in Zumba Gold.

Tucked in center of city
Delights to explore.

Treated to myself to brunch. Ambled down Railspur Alley and savoured a B-T (smoked beets, avocado, spinach and tomato) with corn chowder.
Visited my favourite bakery, Terra Breads and bought a treat to take home. New item on offering! Cranberry tart. Yes, please. Took home, made a mug a tea. Bit into the tart and was not disappointed. Buttery crust topped with ginger infused berries. Yum!

All this prior to noon.
A pretty good start to a weekend morning.
