Last Night

This slice is inspired by Schoolinspiratons adaptation of the Today I format.

Last night I browsed the Athleta website, looking at new dresses. There is one I really like, and it is available in my tall size, BUT I just missed their 25% off sale and can’t bring myself to order it.

Last night I reflected that I really should go through my wardrobe and reorganize it.

Last night I read and commented on a LOT of slices. I enjoy taking a peek into other people’s lives and hearing what they say.

Last night I wished there was a list of SOLSC bloggers to accompany the published map of participants

Last night I tapped away at a couple of draft slices, while a kitty lounged across the top of my desk. (It is much easier to format while on a desktop computer versus my iPad!)

Last night I realized I have been typing ‘the’ as ‘teh’ ever since my concussion (What brain tomfoolery is this?)

Last night I retired to bed early, hoping to be awake early enough to join the Slicers Zoom meet up.

    1. I have noticed that you are a generous fellow Slicer by thoughtfully adding comments. Sometimes I am stymied by what to say beyond “I like it.” when my brain is running at half speed.

      1. I’ve never had a concussion—that I know about—but I do know how severe vision problems impact my reading and writing. If you want to say more to someone’s post, can you quote (copy and paste) your favorite part? That hones in on specific part. And please don’t feel obligated to read my posts. They’ve been long this year. Take care of yourself first so you can heal.

      2. Thanks for your empathy, Glenda and your suggestions.
I like your idea of quoting – I just need to be on my desktop computer to do that. I haven’t been able to figure that out on my phone or iPad.
I love visiting your slices and looking at all the photos – I become an armchair traveller.

  1. I hope you make it to the meet up. Athleta will have another sale soon! No doubt! If you come, I’ll share another strategy for getting the discounts. And I might even be able to come up with a list of slicers!

  2. I had gotten their e-mails informing me of their sale but just didn’t get around to it. I also didn’t make it a priority knowing I’d likely save money. Then they sent an email with photos of new dresses and well I was hooked . . .

  3. I enjoyed reading your list of actions. By participating in today’s slice of life posts, I just realized the time changed. Wow, and I’ve already had my share of typos in posts this morning. I was responding via the jetpack so I blame it for my troubles articulating my thoughts.

  4. Today, you reminded me that my sister-in-law said Athleta is the company that sells these terrific long sweater-things that I see her wear.
Today you made me think about how much better my Macbook is for posting than my iPad.
Today you made me cringe at the thought of suffering a concussion.
Today you made me think about rearranging my closet mentally as I swim laps (but never actually do it ‘cuz after swimming, I’m too tired.)
This is a great post for inspiration. Thanks.

  5. I’m sorry you missed the sale, but I totally agree with you – I can’t pay full price for something that was just on sale!

I read SO MANY slices EVERYDAY, but some nights I’m too tired to comment on each one. I don’t even remember to simply “like” their post so they know they had someone read it. I need to start doing that if I’m not going to leave a comment.

  6. I love this format and added it to my list of slice ideas. Thank you! I tried to go to bed early last night, too. However, I did not want to get out of my warm bed this morning and missed the slicer meet up.
